In case you were under a rock the last few days, I have a newsflash for you: Mark McMorris just repeated as X Games Slopestyle gold medalist. For those of us that have been paying attention to this guy’s career it comes as little surprise. For the rest of the world it is now clear he is the heir apparent to the crown in the sport of snowboarding.
Three years ago I never thought I would be doing this. Sitting on my couch, getting ready for the X Games. I don’t remember the last time I failed to make this a part of my life, but the difference between now and say, four years ago is nothing short of incredible.
As of late it has seemed a little like we are kissing the ass of Spy Optic on a permanent basis. Yes, there is a link to their site on the side of this page. Yes, the last few items I have posted have directly to do with shit they are making happen, and yes this post is also about another endeavor from the Cali-based eyewear juggernauts.
Bottlesurf has absolutely hit it out of the park with this post. Everyone knows that the surf lifestyle is one that we should all aspire to, thanks to the fact that pros in this industry get to travel the world from warm locale to warm locale chasing the best waves during a particular season. There is also another little perk that all too often fails to make mention when the sport is being hyped by a lot of mainstream media.
We have been getting a little slutty lately, whoring ourselves out to show off some great gear from our friends at Spy. As I said in the last post, we don’t do this for the gain that may result from it, it is done rather because these well-made and beautifully designed products are simply impossible to ignore.
